GETTING STARTED
STEP 1 - WEIGHT
Weigh you coffee in grams. We recommend 25 to 30 gms per serving.
STEP 2 - GRIND
For Chemex, you would want to grind it fine to medium coarse. A little coarser than table salt.
STEP 3 - BOIL
Boil water to about 96 degrees C, just before it starts boiling.
STEP 4 - RINSE
Put the filter paper and pour some hot water in the Chemex. This will wet the filter and remove any pre-existing tastes while it will also preheat the Chemex. Discard the water from the vessel.
STEP 5 - ADD
Add your measured coffee powder to the filter paper placed on Chemex
STEP 6 - POUR
Pour the preheated water into the Chemex.
STEP 7 - ENJOY
The new brew should take about 3 minutes from bloom to finish. Once the water is completely soaked, pull out the filter paper and take the flavours of your coffee in. Enjoy.
