Cafe Latte

One of the most popular espresso drinks

Caffè latte is one of the most popular espresso drinks that is relished by coffee lovers and aficionados across the world.

Like several popular coffee drinks, the story of Café Latte is also deeply entrenched in the Italian history. In fact, the term Café Latte was originated from the Italian term Cafellatte, which literally means coffee and milk.

Keeping apart the sober facts, this espresso drink has many fun and interesting facts about it. Some of these facts may evoke surprise especially among those who have only now started falling in love with Café Latte.
The one interesting fact that certainly tops our list is that Caffe latte is the only coffee drink that has inspired an art form. Founded in 1980’s in America, Caffe latte art refers to unique method or technique of creating beautiful pattern or picture by skillfully pouring steamed milk on the foamed surface of a latte. It is an art form that is passionately practiced by millions of café chains and die-hard coffee lovers across the world.

Now to the Recipe

1.

Prepare an espresso using specialty coffee powder . To make espresso within the comfort of your home try using French press machine or moka pot.

2.

Take approximately 210 ML milk in a jug and forth it. Please note that you can again use either French Press machine or electric milk frother to forth the milk. Or else froth the milk manually.

3.

Make sure that milk forth is thick and creamy. It must be minimum 5mm thick (nearly half of the cappuccino foam).

4.

Pour the espresso in the cup and then gently mix it with frothed milk to create a perfect blend. You can finish it off by creating a beautiful milk pattern on the foamed surface (this is what is called latte art, as mentioned above).

5.

Take 1 full cup of fat milk and heat it in a pan. Make sure not to boil it. After heating the milk for few minutes, it is time to forth the milk. If you don’t have a frothing machine then follow the tip mentioned in the below point.

Your café latte is now ready.
